Man you would think they could design stuff better than having to do all that.

What's amazing is how many little screws, nuts, bolts, and other small parts that won't go back where they belong.

My buddy has a 2010 SS/RS same thing happened to him Thanksgiving week he got his car back Christmas week. The core was leaking and he brought it to the dealer for the repair to be made he said they had everything out of the car when he arrived at the dealer to pick it up so he thought he was picking it up.
When the dealer removed the windshield it cracked and the glass was backordered he had to wait for it to arrive.

ok got the car back today and everything seems ok so far. However the morons put the engine cover on OVER the oil dipstick! I'm hoping the dipstick is in because I'm not sure the cover would fit over it....

Would it be bad to continue driving it if the dipstick is out? Is it easy to remove the engine cover and put it back on?

No. It'll be fine.

Just pull up on the cover, it'll come right off. If they fogot the dipstick, just go back and get it on Monday. Driving it won't hurt. Should be just fine.

Ok dipstick is in....engine cover was a piece of cake. It was actually easier to put the cover over the dipstick.

Hopefully she is all better now. So far no rattles, all the electronics seem to work, and they assured me there were no leftover parts or pieces.

Welcome to the leaking heater core club...the dealer had my car for about 3 days and went through the same thing that you car did. Luckily, everything went well and nothing else was broken in the process.

Iwantone2:

Did you still have a faint smell of antifreeze coming from the vents after it was replaced? I'm hoping this one is good because I can still smell that syrupy smell only not as strong as before.
