I put some sheets on top of my car when a nieghbors cat was jump on the hood. the sheet would slide off the car when it would jump on it and must have startled the cat as it never came back.

I cannot resist so.... I would have to go with anti freeze in a bowl of milk. That is will keep the cats from getting on your car.

I don't think a car cover will help, unless it's got Kevlar in it. The car cover will make it easier for them to find something to dig their claws into and their claws will penetrate the cover. Plus they may knit on your cover and do even more damage to the car.

I know our house cats are deathly afraid of the near life sized stuffed Leapord our daughter won at the fair.......... its a wonderful addition to the non lethal household furniture and accessory defense system.

I had 4 outside cats. The car cover option worked well for me (California Custom Car Cover). It fits tight around the bottom so the wind doesn't blow it off. (It actually fits the SS better that the 1LT because the front fascia is larger).

& I think they lowered the prices since I bought mine (over a year ago).

I never understood why people have outdoor cats, if you want a pet that can't be kept in a fenced yard then keep it in your house and off my car. Same as peole that get dogs and keep them tied to a tree. If your cats on my car, theres a good chance he's going to get shot with a BB gun or at the very least a soft pellet gun.

And if you miss, you'll have no one to blame but your self for the added damage.

Buy a roll of plastic carpet protector and lay it down around the car with the little "spikes" pointed up. Those cats will NOT walk across that stuff. If you have a cover on the car you can also put pieces of it on the car itself.

"Some cars look like they're going fast when they're standing still. The Camaro looks like it's going to beat you unconscious, put you in a silly hat, invite a couple of other Camaros over to take photos of you, then e-mail them to all your friends and co-workers. Call me crazy, but I like that in a car."

Way back when, my neighbor would put a rubber snake on the hood of her car to keep the cats off.
Me personally, I just kept a good watch on my car until I found one of the buggers on it. I crept out of the house (which was hard considering our front door is so noisy), and launched my sandal at it. I kid you not, I missed its head by two inches. While I'm still proud of my near hit-a nice feat considering it was an oblong, air-resistant sandal I threw at it- I never saw it on my car again.
