360 headset?

My buddy is looking to get something better than the stock headset mic for his 360.

I don't think he wants to have both ears covered since his 360 is pumped through his surround sound. . . so one ear and a mic

any advice?

I'm fine with the stock one, so I don't know where to start looking.

Why not go with the Microsoft Ear Piece? It looks like a Blue Tooth cell phone ear piece.

Ear pieces are fine until the Battery gets low or dead. Then you are stuck with crackling or no headset.

I like the full headset, sound deadening, I can play with it as loud as i want with out bothering anyone else in the house.

I have the Microsoft one, it's pretty quick to charge. If you want, get two so one can always be charged and ready to go.

I have the cheap one that came with my Halo Console. It sucks. I've tried out the Turtle Beach ones. They are pretty awesome.

Pricey, but the kinect microphone works great and no more headset...I think that's what my instructions said.

i bought the turtle beach headset for my 360 it will work through his surround sound and head phones at the same time or one at a time, i paid 100 bucks for mine from gamestop, mine are wireless, they have a wired set for 60 bucks as well and then they have the top model which i think is 200 bucks

The turtle beaches are AMAZING! Love them!!!!
I actually use them to watch TV when my wife is sleeping too! They sound 10x's better than my tv speakers anyway.

+1 on the turtle beaches. granted he only wants one ear covered, i've had my x41's for a while now and can't play a FPS without them. 5.1 surround sound directly into my ears is awesome.
