no way is a V6 camaro going to go mid 13's.
Yea just dissregard whoever it was who posted this.

He posted it... i asked for anything supporting his claims, and despite the "Handidly" defeat, he had nothing to show for it.

Yea without going into a big long thing about options, really, the SRT's big accomplishment seems to be some Mopar Floor mats.
Uhh, what? Cracks me up some of you guys say the camaro is the be all end all of current muscle cars yet you dont know AND are to lazy to educate yourselves on the competition. Im not a loyalist to either but the SRT8 is a damn fine muscle car.

Someone got a stock RT to go 4.83 0-60 so it is pretty fast. (the machine keeps a record of the time so a picture proved the time) However getting 5.3 is the norm for the RT...

I went to a Dodge dealer today...

I went to the Dodge dealer in my area and they all were very pushy and brought out prices that weren't discounted and played dumb when I mentioned the employee pricing and 0% financing.. This is the second dealer in South Florida with the most vile and retchid salesman working the floor you could imagine.. Kendall Chevrolet's people were worse though.. So I told them to call me when they feel like telling me the truth about the correct employee pricing and when they learn about the 0% financing.. I swear it's all a big scam for these salesman, the whole dealer system needs to be changed to avoid all of this nonsense....

So look for yourself... I've seen videos of GTO's beating SRT Challenger's too LOL but the guy in the Challenger didn't get off the line for crap and still almost caught the Goat it was 13.1 for the Goat and 13.4 for the SRT but like I said the guy couldn't even launch his car... So believe what you want I mean it still has something to do with the driver each time... The car's dont just launch themselves...

Either this is bs or it's just bad luck for everyone who lives around here.

My county has about 100 Charger patrol cars spread out between the different police stations and the sheriffs dept. All of them are effected the same way, spending around 1 week out of every month at the dealership getting warranty work done. The county has a shop where all the departments send their vehicles for normal repairs and maintenance so their aren't at the dealers for an oil change. At the last county meeting, they was actually thinking about selling the Chargers and buying used Impala's that was previously owned by other departments.

There are 2 '09 Challengers total in the county, an SRT8 and a SE. I know the guy who owns the SRT8 as he comes into the store that I run twice a week. Every time he comes in there he is cussing that car and asks if anyone wants to buy it. You think my dads charger is bad at needing repairs, his Challenger spends more time at the dealership then it does on the road. Last week he's decided to trade it on for a new Camaro SS and says he'll never own another Chrysler vehicle again. He has ran into the guy who owns the SE a few times at the dealership and says he has it almost as bad.

Chrysler was never known has having good quality but this is pathetic.

Considering the first anti-Dodge post had only your dad's Charger as the one with the problem, I would think that you would have told this story the first time around if you were trying to make a point against Dodge quality if every Dodge charger in the police dept. has as many problems as you make it out to be. I call BS on your rant...If it was true, the way the police force drives their vehicles is a little rougher than most since the cars are not theirs so they would be in the shop more often than your average citizen with their own car that they take care of.

It is time to get this thread back on topic as it is not supposed to be a bash dodge thread in the first place... To be fair, all American car companies over the years have had quality issues and perhaps some more than others, however all have very good 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty when you buy new at this point in time.. And since we are talking about employee pricing on a new Challenger with 0% financing and comparing those deals with what GM is offering or could be offering by the time our pre-orders arrive, makes this an interesting and important thread...

I don't care how much money I could save --- I'd be cursing myself every time I saw a Camaro if I bought the Dodge.

That's a good reason not to consider one then In that case if you did buy a Challenger, let's hope in a few years you'd be doing a lot of cursing while driving down the road...

In a few years time, it might progress to this:
