So anyone know the specs like displacement, HP/TQ rating? The sound is awesome! I bet this will be a big hit with tuners.

Cool....It'd be interesting to know the displacement of that. There are a lot of possibilities for that, other than just motorcycles. It would make for a cool crate engine for use in certain local level racing series.

and the power level for displacement needs some work badly. sounds pretty cool though. |

Now if they wanted to make it a brute 1650 they probably could. I'm willing to say it's all in the programming of the engine's fuel management system. I seem to recall a certain LS series motor having less power than it's brothers due to fuel management/valve train changes.

I thought the correct way to say it was 4 cylinder and not V4

That's because there have hardly ever been any v-configuration 4-cylinders. The only ones I can think of were saab and a few ford motors. The inline design is more balanced with smaller engines, but it just screws with weight distribution and would need a huge engine bay for a straight or inline 8 cylinder. Also, a crankshaft that long suffers from more torsional vibration which can cause problems in the long run.

It's still out there in the Bike world too in the form of the VF/VFR series Honda bikes and the Yamaha V-Max. Honda actually refers to the VF lineage as the "V Four" lineage, IE all bikes using the VF engine are referred to as V-fours.
