I see no solid base on which you can levy doubts against the SS (or any other American contender, frankly...) except weight...but the CTS-V and G8 GXP seem to do okay setting records and earning accolades while dealing with MORE poundage than the SS...so...

Genesis. Fine. It's going to be quick, and it's going to be a contender. We'll see just how WELL it contends soon enough.

370z...can talk to the Corvette. Don't give me nothin' about a V6 or horsepower ratings. Two-seater, corner-carving, purpose-built sports cars.....sit over there (>).

And the supra....I'm sorry...is that sold in this country?

I don't think this video has convinced me that you might have a valid point. Reason being is that there haven't been any testing done by some racing professionals except Dale Earnhart for the Camaro. So yeah cheers to this Hyundai Genesis making some cool moves but let's just wait and see hopefully what the Camaro can do.

You know I actually respect Muscle Master, he bring things to the table. It probably will be great competition for the Camaro, and you've also said your points about the Challenger vs Camaro. I think once the Camaro is out, it's on! The big three will be out there against the foreign big three. It's fun times ahead and you've made light of it.

To me all this video proves is that it can't keep its rear behind the car and oversteers A LOT

I think I might join some mopar and mustang forums just to get kicks of people trying to flame me, but hey where would we be if there were no competition?

Excuse me A ton = 2000 lbs. 1/3 would be ~666.66 lbs. So it would not even be 1/6 of a ton. You could even round the other direction and say its about 1/10 of a ton. Whats the point? Its not enough to make a difference except in high end racing. And there would be so many other factors in play at the point that 280 lbs would not be hard to get rid of.

I can't see the Genesis beating the SS, the Weight/HP ratio is 11.6 for Genesis, 9.0 for Camaro, much better. Heck, even the G37, which the Genesis looks, acts, and feels like, has a better Weight/HP ratio of 11.0

I'm not trying to be a jerk but lately it seems so many more people are trying to "scare" us Camaro enthusiasts. There's one particular GT500 owner that erks me... But like the rockinrollcali guy said I still respect you and everyone else here because you usually take quite a flaming for your car and don't get super mad or anything.
