Being a 300C owner also, it ends up being a mixed bag to.some elements such as the tail lights seem over-chromed.

I think they took 4 steps backwards with this one. The front doesn't fit the rest of the vehicle at all.

general question ...

Why hasn't anyone made a big fuss about destroying the heritage of the 300 name (like they've done with the Charger)?

This car still looks nothing like the ones from the 1960's:

My guess is because the old Charger was a very popular model that alot of non-enthusiasts are familiar with as well. While the original 300 is unknown to most people. Just count the number of old 300s compared to the number of old Chargers you see at car shows/meets.

Honestly until that post I didn't realize there WAS a classic 300 model.

Well, if you look what the history of the charger is through the ages, I wouldn't say this is all that bad. Remember the FWD models? Compared to that fiasco, this is something to be happy about IMHO.
