No hate on Vettes. I traded my C6 for my Camaro and will get a C7 when they come out. All of my friends ask, "How does it compare to the C6?"
I say, It has the same drivetrain but is heavier and doesn't handle like a Vette. It's just been fun to have the newest, hottest Chevy model... But it's no Vette!!! |

The only anti-Corvette types I`ve seen around here are trolls with a recent join date in their profile. :(

Tomcat hit the nail on the head. Once you realize you can not own something & if you are immature you might become a hater. Instead save your coins and invest. Don't be a hater be a saver.

I've always hatted Corvettes. It's always because they were just so overpriced for the performance. A Mustang and Camaro was way cheaper, even with addons and would smoke the Vette. Even today they are over priced, except the ZR1 does rock. Plus the interior has always been cheap.

![]() But it's more that I always see it as you are paying way over on the value of the Vette. Not just performance but the total package. The only Vette I would considered owning would be a ZR1 but I don't think I'd even buy one of those. But I look at as I can buy a Mustang, build that beyond what the Vette is, including the Z06, and still be saving a lot of money and have nicer interior. So it's just from everyone's own perspective which this one is mine. |

To the OP though, I have much respect for the Corvettes and all the muscle cars in that respect. I do hate on the Mustang occasionally simply because that is my cars "rival" right now...but I do still respect it and respect that the age old rivalries from days long ago are back and the old school "muscle battle" has been reborn which I think we all can appreciate...where would we be without the rivalries and competition...it's what makes our Camaro's as idolized as they are

Having climbed aboard the Gen5 soul train, from the drivers seat of the Iconic Corvette...........I've got nothing but continuing love, admiration and respect for them. There are undeniable similarities between the two akin to the variety of grains of sand in a hour glass and in as much, as many wonderful differences in form, as there should be. Like the facets on the surface of the worlds finest diamonds, they're a cut and clairity above the rest, mined from the same resources at Chevrolet, times may have changed there, but obviously we're still all family members.............enough said.
