Only the f150 has a fully boxed frame. The other f-series trucks use a c-channel frame with the front portion being fully boxed. A fully boxed frame is totally unnecessary for the bigger f-series. Fully boxed does not necessarily mean better at all. The Toyotas use fully boxed frames. . . big road trucks and semi's do not. Both have their pros and cons like ohc vs ohv.

I am strictly a Gm fanatic except on the 3/4 tons and 1 tons. Fords have always been the beefier more trucky truck. Although the chevy is probably a better all around truck because it does better in the city it lacks look imo. I would forsure have to take a new powerstroke over a duramax.

![]() This Challenge sounds vaguely similar to the CTS-V challenge. Just a little more directed. I'll bet it's an example of that "offense" advertising philosophy.

Most companies around here that actually use their trucks are kind of funny. The foremen and supervisors drive half ton Chevys. The guys that work and actually use the trucks drive F350s. LMAO.
All 3 of them are nice trucks and it ultimately comes down to personal preference and cost. A loaded up 2011 f350 Lariat diesel crew 4x4 will run you 54000 off a sticker of near 63000 right now...... That's a lot of jing for a trailer tugger. |

Why would they accept a challenge from anyone? They have been the #1 selling truck for 37 years. Numbers alone speak for themselves. This is always a typical advertising ploy to generate interest in a competitors model that doesn't do as well in the sales department. All are capable of doing what they are meant for. It just falls back to personal preference.

Not *technically* true. GM trucks (Seirra + Silverado) have outsold the Ford for a long time.

I would take a cummins over either one any day. After that comes chevy then ford. At my work we have all fords and 1 chevy. They only thing that needs work done on the chevy is front wheel bearings every other year. The fords have all been back to the dealer many times for everything from a bad radio stopping the sgnals from working to tachs not working to no reverse on 4 differect occasions with 3 different trucks. We have even had the power wire for the starter corrode off a 2009. Ford used to know how to make trucks. I wouldnt trust a ford to do anything. Their new 6.4 twin turbo is a power house but everything else is junk. My uncle has a 2008 and I have had to replace every single bulb on the passanger side of his truck. 3rd tail light bulb. 2nd headlight bulb. 5th or 6th clearance light on the roof. All the sockets are burned and black. Dealer keeps telling him I am installing them wrong?? Cant wait to get rid of the fords and get real trucks.

My perfect truck ad...
A 2011 Silverado 3500HD, 2011 Sierra Denali 3500HD, F-350 Super Duty, and Ram 3500 are all chained up to a Tundra. All four heavy duties floor it. Hilarity and awesomeness ensue as the Tundra is ripped to shreds.

The Tundra's makeup consists of the most US parts/assembly though doesn't it?
