That will cost me way more then I will ever get from the insurance company either way. :( It's like no one is responsible for their actions anymore. Total

I'm still going to file my claim with them - I just have to get "proof" that my car's been devalued now....UGH

P.S. - As for proof of loss of value, get the car appraised and then ask the appraiser what it would have appraised at if it hadn't been in an accident. File a claim for the difference.

Hey I had the same thing happen. the advice I was given from a friend who is an insurance adjuster was to go to a dealership and ask them to give you and estimate of the resale value before and after your car was damaged.

Unfortunately it wasn't that big of a difference but it was more then the $180 the insurance company quoted for diminished value.

FWIW. aaaand, I also had a lawyer friend say that if I ever get in an accident again and don't hire a lawyer I'm dumb.... FWIW...

Ya I figured I'd have to have my insurance company go out or something -- I'll see what the dealership has to say -- with over $8500 in damage I'm sure the diminished values a bit more then a few hundred though

I mean, the last accident was only $1000 - no point in going after that since, over time that amounts to nothing -- but $8500 is way to much damage....

I hope they started working on her and it doesn't get worse :(

UPDATE!!!...well, we did it, and here are the photos to prove it!!!...what a blast seeing 10 BAD A**, and very LOUD 5thgens coming down my block!!!...I was standing in the middle of the road watching them and it was a sight and sound I will never, ever forget for the rest of my life...what a blast!!!...my NY5THGEN family made my day, week, month, year, with that scene yesterday...thanks, guys!!!

I love my dealer and all but $47 bucks for a oil change and tire rotation is nuts:( On top of it I think my leg is broke:( I biked 5 miles at the gym last nite and I'm so out of shape its not funny.
