Check out AVS forum sometime. It's as crazy about video and sound as this place is about Camaros. That's where I learned about Onkyo.

Picking a subwoofer, head unit, speaker or amp is like picking rims for my car.

Dude!!!!!!!

Where's the NAD? Rotel?, Naim? Arcam? Nakamichi? Cambridge Audio? Quad? Denon? Harmon Kardon? Bang & Olufsen? Dual? Tannoy? Mordaunt Short?

I used to have a NAD Class AA pre and power amp OMG!! Unbelievable! Very gutsy! rigged to a Dual turntable (shows my age), Denon tape deck, Philips CD player, with Tannoy speakers (cross overs) and Morden short surround speakers. The Mordaunt Short's you could drive what EVER power through them they just kept going! It was bordering IMPOSSIBLE to distort them!

When I crank it up, it was like some one punching the wind out of your stomach every time you heard the baseline! very very high signal to noise ratio. It was wondeful to the ears. Gave it to my bro in England when I moved. Now I just have an mp3. thats it. Not quite the same but it suffices!

Well, for speakers, I'd have to say Klipsch. That's what we have for our set up home theater.

I had one kicker solo baric l7 15" and that thing was ridiculous it could hit low notes like it was its job. But i blew that haha this one song came on and it was turned up really loud and the bass was such a low note, it wasnt even a sound it was just air moving in my blazer.

It was crazy but it just seized up from that and haven't got it repaired since. Now i got 2 kicker cvr 12's and they hit good enough for now if you sit at a stop light and look at a sign its goes all blury from the vibrations haha.

That was my favorite thing about my Cobalt's sound system. Everything got fuzzy when I turned on my system. I used sound dampening material to prevent weird sounds coming from my car. I really need to install a sub in my Camaro.

I said i wasnt gonna put one in the camaro cause it's a muscle car just listen to the motor but i just love music up load and the bass so i know ill end up putting one or two in haha. I want to try to make a nice fiberglass box maybe 2 one in each corner or somthing im gonna have to draw on up when i get the car.

Well my camaro is a v6 and it doesn't roar as loud as a v8, but with all the snow birds here goig 35 on a 55, I wouldn't be able to here the engine at well, But listening and feeling some good hitting bass is plesant once in a while and gives music power, somtimes i didn't notice how good the bass was on the song until i heard the playing clearly.

I have no idea how to make a fiberglass box, but that would be a fun job. I only want 1 sub, so I might just get a ported one from the store.
