I agree. I doubt he'll show up at your house. In fact, if his "wife" shows up again, I'd mention the police are looking for him and have been watching the house.

And good luck with the landlord. I doubt he'll do anything.

I agree with the others, I think he's not going to show up!!! however that doesn't mean you shouldn't pretect yourself!!! I'm not a fan of guns but I do believe there a great tool to have in situations like this!!!

Update the landlord got in contact with the old tenant and asked her if she knew why the cops would be coming and watching the house. She hung up the phone on him.

Just because the felon isn't going to show up doesn't mean he doesn't have friends that don't know the layout of his pad.

Once you get a hold of the landlord, just start talking options.

And for everyone who says "get a shotgun," remember, it's only any help if you're actually there to use it. There's nothing worse than going and buying yourself a gun to feel safe and then have someone break into your house when you're not there and steal your gun.

If you are going to go the gun route, you better get a solid gun safe that can't be removed from the house. That means it is either secures to the floor with some serious hardware, or it's so heavy you need a mini-forklift to move it.

My recommendation would be to conduct a full (and thorough) sweep of the entire house, attic and all. Make absolutely sure none of his product is hidden somewhere on your property. If the guy was a drug dealer, then there's no telling how many trap doors or hidden compartments are spread out all over that house.

I hope it all works out for you. My family moved into a house in Dallas when I was a kid where we found multiple different paraphernalia that indicated the previous tennant(s) was/were members of the KKK. It's pretty scary stuff and you'll never feel the same way about living in that house again.

I had a dog that ate a shotgun once but I could never get him to eat strangers.
