GM, Build This Hatch!

Inside Line rendered a 2-door Cruze hatchback, and GM should build it. So far, GM has said that the hatchback is not coming to the States, and there are no plans for a 2-door version.

Discuss.

They keep saying americas won't buy hatchbacks, but I read something (on Jalopnik I believe) that 2/3rds of the FIesta sold so far are hatchbacks. I think it is more that we don't get stylish hatchbacks (except the Fiest and look). The Cruze hatchback is a good looking car. IMHO, even a 4 door hatchback would be great. Give it the Cobalt SSes engine, suspension tuning and brakes and match that with the Cruzes much better style and interior and I think it would be one awesome pocket rocket!

I'm not sure how much was changed when doing that rendering though. Regardless, its probably the first hatch that I've see that I think actually looks good

I want to say the whole "hatch" topic has been covered ad nauseum....

Render a good-looking coupe with a TRUNK....and I betcha it'll sell at least double any hatch.

I like it. If the CR-Z can sell here, why not a Cruze hatchback? (GAWD I hate Honda's CR line SO effing much...)
