I don't think we have to wait much longer for that to happen. What with all these companies going global...it's only a matter of time before the stupid, small systems (like ours) get replaces by the much easier metric system.

no they didnt, 31mpg *.83 ( US to imperial gallons ratio for conversion) = 25 mpg similar to what they are rated here +/- differences in government Fuel econ test standards

9.2L/100km * 1 USGal/3.785L * 100km/62mph * 0.8327 ImpGal/1 USgal = 2.0 gal/62 miles. or find the reciprocal of that to make it 62 miles/2.0 gal which= 31 mpg.

Headpunter is right, im just showing all the calculations for it with respect to sig. figs.

Please ignore Canadian fuel economy numbers. They are less accurate than the old EPA system.
