Need help with 94 jetta please

I know this is a camaro forum. but i could use some help.

A few years ago my mom was t-boned in her 94 jetta.
the engine and transmission are perfectly fine, and my mom is too lol.

my question is about the 2.0 I4 engine and 5sp manual tranny.

can they, and what other years of jettas be swapped into?
were looking to get another jetta and use the parts from our old one on a cheap one that has a lot of miles or blown engine or such.

I'm sure it could. It would be a lot of work but as long as it's the same year or at least close I'd think it wouldn't be to tough. Might want to check for a Jetta forum to see if there are any differences to look out for(mounting points, different PCM's, etc.).
