Nice car! The new 5.0 Mustangs are fantastic, enjoy it!

Ignore the negative posters, their opinion doesnt matter, but at that..neither do the positives! I enjoy all the muscle/pony cars and can see beyond brand loyalty to appreciate a great ride.

Just keep it in the right section and enjoy your bad ass ride!

You can bet the Boss motor is under rated, or detuned from the factory. It's the same motor that's in the 302R race car, but with pollution controls, different tuning and a lower rev limiter. That motor makes north of 500hp.

So I believe it will match a 6.2 motor to motor.

Yes bolt ons include that. Just saying the LS3 doesnt need an intake or TB to hit that number. Not sure what your getting at.

You are sure of this why? No one has even done it yet. THey have traditionally not respnded very well to cams. The motor already revs to 7k when stock and is down on the ls3 in low end torque. If it hits 500rwhp the thing is going to have the most pitiful low end you have ever seen and be revving to the moon. The power under the curve at 500rwhp will be nowhere near the LS3. The Boss already lost torque changing its cams for a boost to only 440 flywheel hp.

Never been a fan of the Mustang, let alone the Camaro. Well that changed obviously and now I own a Camaro. Still to this day, i'm still not a fan of the Mustang.

Congrats on the pick up though! Definately 1 of the major purchases you will ever buy in life, aside from a mortgage. Congrats again!

Same exact motor eh? wasnt aware of that. Using pump gas and everything? daily driveable tune? same bottom end? same cams?wow thats crazy. You got a link saying it is the exact same motor as in the race car? you got a link to the motors horsepower and that it is the same engine?

Also. You need about 560hp to make 500 at the wheels. If the boss 302 race car isnt doing it good luck with that.

Well..I just looked and they say it is similar to the 5.0 street motor. BUt that doesnt really matter...they are only claiming ~400hp. Where did you get this "north of 500hp" figure from?

Well Livernois has hit 420 RWHP with just an intake and tune..so..

80 more HP isnt that much to pick up when you start factoring in LT's, offroad pipes, cams, etc etc

I wouldnt be shocked to see a well tuned 5.0 hitting 500 RWHP with LT's, offroad pipes, intake,intake maniforld, tune and throttle body.
