I have 85,000 shares of Ford right now and got in when it was really low. Believe me I know what to look for and research and that is why GM is too risky for me right now.

????? so you have approx 300k invested in Ford. Current price is $12 and change. Let's say you bought at the low of $3.50 you have over 750k of profit and you haven't cashed out

Actually I got in at $1.51. The wife was pissed at first but it wasn't the first time I made a big gamble with some stocks that paid off so she is fine now. This has definately been the most profitable trade I have made and I think it will hit $20 a share so I'm gonna stick with it.

Ok, so for a complete noob to stock trading... how do I get started? I'm not saying that I'm going to dump a couple grand into this or anything like that, but if it starts out fairly cheap I'd like to put maybe a couple hundred bucks into it just to see where it goes. If it takes off, great. If not, well I lost a couple hundred bucks, not too big a deal.
