Out in California we just got a couple inches of rain and temps dropped below 30 in a couple places. The news has started "Storm Watch 2008" and it has its own theme music now. Freeways are shut down and you would think we were close to declaring a state of emergency. I hate Californians.

Perfect chance to steal one of those Traverses for a joy ride...they won't notice a missing pile of snow...

Speaking of Traverses....Those FRONT WHEEL DRIVE units pulled right through the snow up to the top of the hood.....just like they were AWD. That V6 (camaro engine with less hp) is pretty impressive.

Yes, I would have liked to snag one of them for the weekend, but I got 2000 miles on my Impala, with 4000 more to go before my next demo.... But have no fear, I grabbed a Silverado Crew Cab Z71 for the weekend.....so I can get to work, of course!

My mom has one. It seems very flimsy but works surprisingly well. It works better with some types of snow than with others, and works best if you warm up the car a lot beforehand.

I just use a push broom, it gets the job done quickly.

They've got DI too? Well, I guess that explains this:

Oh, and...requiring people to buy car to get the free gift is bogus.

Well...

That's actually a Chevrolet Captiva. Built off the Theta platform shared with the Saturn VUE. It's sold overseas.

And that was staged...why would the tow truck driver leave his truck in neutral?

Friday was my first snow storm commute. It was a lot of fun really. I can't imagine what it would be like in a car with AWD, ABS and traction control though.
