Well just throwing it out there that at the "Forced Induction Throwdown" that I saw at the So Cal Meet back in April Mindz Camaro that was all stock plus a S/C on his LS3 he put down a respectible 517 Horsepower and 457 for torque and mind you that's at the wheels...bone stock performance wise except for the S/C. If I can hop in the new Z28 and have her throwing down 517 at the wheels right off the lot I'd say that's pretty damn good...just my opinion but you wont hear any complaints here

Engines have reached their Naturally Aspirated limits from the factory (this generation of engines anyways). The LS7 is the pinnacle of that kind of thinking, and it's EXPENSIVE....

Superchargers are easy, fuel economical (compared to a big block), and don't effect road-manners at these power levels.

i defintly wouldnt complain having an supercharged 6.2 putting down over 500 rwhp but i instead of going the easy route, to actually build the engine with forged parts and put down 500 rwhp N/A
i think more people would buy the z28 if done n/a being then they can throw a s/c or turbo ontop of the built already powerful engine and run plenty of boost/nitrous without needing to worry about blowing up the engine. Maybe i just like the complicated way though lol.

Haha yeah my only question really for the Z28 if it ends up being just like the test mule is with the S/C 6.2L is are they going to hold to the 5 year 100k warranty or is it going to be less? Food for thought, not sure what the warranty is on cars like the Supersnake that come that way...

damn that cts coupe is ugly. Worse than the stang from the rear. Might be a few hundred lbs heavier than the Z too

I think you nailed it in that last part. NOTHING wrong with that.

The CTS-V, Z06, and ZR1 all with 500+ BHP all have the 5 year/100K mile drivetrain warranty. The Z28 will too.

I always felt that way about the CTS-V sedan, until my buddy bought one. IMHO it looks so much better in person (looks very menacing lowered by an 1"). The coupe might be the same way. Of course, Cadillac looks (the sharp lines and edges) aren't everyone's favorite either.

Yep, and the REAL spanking happens around a road course, although most people aren't interested in braking and cornering.

True talk...when it comes to "power" between cars of bad blood like the Mustang vs. Camaro most of the guys live their life a quarter mile at a time and not on the track...

Being in to road racing myself I think it's hilarious to see these highly modded, high HP cars with the little-bitty baby brakes on them. The CTS-V brakes are phenominal. If the Z28 gets them, that will be an under-appreciated gift to most owners.
