FUsion, fiest, or kia forte koup?
Thinking seriously about trading my Jeep tomorrow for a economy car with a bit better mileage and I have just missed having a car. I am thinking these 3
1: Fiesta: Appears to be a great little car and the 5 door the dealer has with sync, ambient lighting, automatic, etc is $17006 2: Focus, should be a solid and proven car. Am looking at an SE with sunroof, sync, uplevel stereo, cruise, appearance package, manual transmission, with rebates should be around 15900. 3, kia Forte coupe sx: best looks, be just the masicSX (top end model), no sunroof or leather. 17k-18k depending on transmission, only has 1k rebat compared to 3k for the focus and no SYNC of course. Thoughts? I figure I'll get a good daily driver now and get a nice pony from the used market in a few years. title should read focus not fusion! sorry! |

yea for sure the incentives are good. im assuming ur jeep is paid off for correct? if so... youll probably save some money on gas by getting one of the cars u listed but then have that extra payment. so consider that. if u really have ur mind set on a pony/sports car, which again i assume you do =), then just save up the cash that you would spend on the focus and put a good down payment on ur dream car. I wouldnt just settle for whats best for u now but look at the long haul. if its a yr or 2 from now until u get the car u really want then just save. i know its easier said then done but you'll be happy with your decision.

Not really a fan of the focus. Narrow it down to the fiesta and the forte koup. Then drive both of them on the same day, see how you feel about it, and choose whatever feels right. They are both nice cars, the fiesta is a little on the quirkier side, and the forte koup has great styling, but whatever floats your boat.

Fiesta, support an American company before a Korean one.

My thought to, though i think I am leaning towards the Focus
I figure I'll get a pony in a few years when i can relegate it to weekend duty. This is coal country, daily driving the roads and not to mention coal truck dodging and flyingbricks of coal from those trucks I w0ould be sad very quick putting a nice and more expensive car through that everyday, not to mention 25k+ miles a year.

I like the Fiesta, but it looks like the Focus offers more creature comforts for the money. The latest generation doesn't look half bad.

Now I am just thinking, sedan or coupe and should I have them find me one with an automatic transmission as I'd rather have gray anyways. I also figure the Focus has been around long enough any bugs should be worked out by now.

If you wanted to hold out a bit longer you could jump for a Cruze, supposed to be out 3rd quarter, starting around $16,500

The Focus has been out for a while, and generally is reliable, yes. I would still get a Focus or Fiesta.
And I think he needs a car more along the lines of now-ish...not waiting for the Cruze |

meh for the focus, i think the Mazda3 is a better package while being essentially the same car.
my vote is 100% for the fiesta though |
