GT better than we think?

According to Road and Track, they really like the GT and its list of available performance upgrades.( i like it too)

Though in this test the GT is not faster through the 1320....on a track the live solid axle GT , shines as a performance car.

It just got real serious gentleman. We look good. but the GT IS good!

I welcome the new GT. All grown up and upto the task!!!
Time to put away our prejudices. I have NEW found respect for Ford.
And still love GM at the same time.

Tis possible for someone else to build a nice car too. The only reason you are seeing any performane gains at all in both the V6 and V8 are simply do to weight. The Engines are not stronger and suspension is not better. It's just lighter and uglier, I can deal with that.

GM lacks the ability to option there vehicles but FORD is just under younger management. Ford is tapping into the younger market instead of GM. The new GT are pretty stout I mean with $2000 invested there runnin high 11's N/A which is pretty impressive

Chevy is trying to tap into the younger market with the Camaro. That's why they said they did not go 'full retro' with the design, but kept it a nice combination of new and retro.

I'm glad the Mustang stepped it's game up. Makes for good competition, and more motivation for GM to beef up the Camaro's specs.

The good old-fashioned muscle wars of yesteryear are finally back, and better than ever!

(Camaro FTW)

Agreed, which I feel was a smart move. Will keep the design fresh for years to come

Of course looks are subjective, but it seems a lot of people who buy Camaro's do so more based on looks than anything else. Form over function and all. If that's what you're looking for, go for it. But the true car guys are more concerned with how a car feels to drive, as opposed to the posers that just want to be seen.

I'm not saying looks aren't important to the overall experience, but I couldn't justify a poorer driving experience just because one car stands out in a crowd more than the other. To me, both cars look great. I just think the driving experience is better in the Mustang. You feel more "one with the car". The ergonomics of the Carmaro makes for a completely different driving experience.

Just my humble opinion.

Well my SS has substantial suspension upgrades ,some brake improvements and mid 500 rwhp. My V has engine upgrades to surpass my SS in power. This is channeled through the automatic A6...so they are no slouches. repeatable ,easy to modulate high performance.( they're within 25 rwhp of each other.) I was tired of rowing my Zo6, but boy what a rockect with just under 600 rwhp
So i have no warranttee on either. You pay to play.

So i'm unafraid of Any Stock new GT or GT500. However in regard to the latter . Its a better performace car stock for stock than a GS Vette or M3 Bmw. Ford has leaped forward with the GT500 and the Gt is 90% of the GT500.

Ok from the back the Stang has some " asthetic issues"....but front and side look damn good to me.
Definitely not as hot as the SS. If i polled non brand loyal car people..they would mostly want the SS.
I'm giving credit ,to the Mustangs performance. I'm sure to Ford guys its a beautiful car. Love is , afterall, Blind.

For now, i havent seen the back of any new mustang. If you know what i mean!!

Could the Mustang's numbers be better with the standard 3:31 gears? It looks like 3.73 gears requires a 4-5 shift. 4 Shifts in the 1/4 would seem to be wasting a lot of time.

Camaro fans should want the Mustang to be a strong competitor. Remember, the better the Mustang is, the better GM will make the Camaro in response.
