dash/windshield mount computer dyno 1/4mi 60ft HP bla bla bla

dash/windshield mount computer dyno 1/4mi 60ft HP bla bla bla

Who got ones, [yea I know a Iphone can bla bla bla not buying a $300 phone and paying $50-100 a month for a dash dyno]

What brand and what price and how accurate was it?

Since the spread of those cell phone apps the dash/windshield mount ones has become very reasonably priced.

Got money buring a hole in my pocket n gotta get something before bills eat it all up. Or I spend it on candy n porn.

Guess I was wrong, most of them are still super pricy but only cause they keep updating its looks to be more modern but still they only do about the same stuff.

picked up a Passport Escort G-timer performance computer Dyno GT-1

http://www.escortradar.com/pdf/gt1manual.pdf

Tracks acceleration times and speeds, including 0-60 and quarter mile times.
Mount on windshield, plug in and go.
Calculates peak horsepower.
Displays acceleration, cornering, and braking G-forces, including friction circle.
Keeps a list of your 10 best runs.

The GT-2 you could download the data but non to be found and the GT-1 was only $50 shipped new on e bay.

A few more GT-1s on there for a bit more, then the G-tech line goes to $200+

Didn't set up anything like roll out, GVWR, pitch, roll......

Also didn't do any shifting, just held it to the floor.

Ran a 18.02sec 1/4mi at 73.9MPH with a little spin on 1-2 shift.
[said I had 42HP with default GVWR of 2000lbs, its GVWR is 5772lbs ]

15.0 sec 1000ft [which is the new 1/4 distance for NHRA]

0-50 7.80
0-60 11.05

Was gonna try a 2nd run after setting GVWR but while finding a clear empty road johnny law tried to sneak up on me but if the city spent more loot on better radar I wouldn't of pick him up even before I could see em on a cheap 1980s xk/ka dector

I know it isn't scaleable always [ twice as lite, twice as fast ] but why keep tip toein around putting that engine into the Bird.

Those times aren't bad for a SB350 when you consider it weighs twice as much or more then the typical V8 3rd gen.
