LMAO! Did you cut-and-paste that excuse from Challengertalk?

Did you blast them last year when the Camaro beat the Mustang?

IMO, you wont see who has the better build quality until the cars have been driven in the real world for a few years.

Ford is generally rated either #1 or #2 in reliability though. Toyota was #1, but after the recalls last year some are now ranking Ford #1 in that dept. GM's reliability is ranked higher than Chrysler however.

How is it an excuse? Motor-trend liked the exterior and interior of the Camaro much, much more then the 2010 Mustang. Now that the 5.0 is out, with no changes to the interior or exterior, and their opinion suddenly changed? Not an excuse, it's a fact. Silly Mustang guy.

There was no need for us to blast them last year either. The 2010 GT is up to par with the 2011 V6. They did do better with the 2011 model GT though. Which is a good thing, they can give us a better competition now!

But it appears as if you are using the rag's reviews to promote the the fact that you think the Camaro is the better car. When they review the 2011 Mustang, you lambast them and cry foul. Did the same person write both reviews?

Why are you saying "you"? That was my first post in this thread. I do think the Camaro is the better car, so what? Did I lambast them and cry foul? No. I just think it's funny how their opinion changed so much on something that didn't change. I'm happy the 2011 GT is finally a better car. Don't sound so butt hurt.

The very context of your post cries foul and you're stating the obvious by saying you think the Camaro is the better car. You're one of the butt hurt ones. I could care less what some magazine says about either one of these cars. By butt hurt "ones", I mean one of those that's upset about the new 5.0 being able to compete with or beat the 5th Gen SS. You never answered my question. Did the same guy that reviewed the 2010 Mustang also review the 2011? People's opinions vary and that's all these mags are full of, people's opinions. I'm glad you're happy about the outcome of the 2011 Mustang GT, I'm sure the folks over at Ford can rest easy now that you're satisfied. I'm glad GM started to produce the Camaro again, and you should be as well

FASTLANE FIRST TO TURBO-CHARGE NEW MUSTANG 5.0
Houston-Based Tuner Adds 120 Ponies to Ford’s Vaunted Pony Car
Houston, TX (July 2010)—Using the proven reliable technology of Borg Warner’s 72mm S400 Turbo, Fastlane has tackled the new 5.0 Mustang GT and has developed the ultimate Turbo System. Having already proven their turbo system savvy in the 2010 Camaro SS, Fastlane wanted to be the first aftermarket manufacturer and tuning shop to boost the new Mustang GT.
Fastlane’s new Ford Mustang GT Turbo package will conservatively produce a blistering 530+ RWHP and 500 RWTQ on the six-speed model with only six-seven psi boost.
“Fastlane was founded on modifying Mustangs,” says Nick Field, Co-Owner of Fastlane. “We’ve gone back to our roots with this turbo package and have made the new Mustang GT even more significant.”
The Fastlane Turbo Package for the 2010 Mustang GT features the following:
* Low boost – 6-7psi
* At least 120 additional RWHP
* Designed for stock engines
* Quiet, reliable operation with big block power
* 72mm Borg Warner extended tip turbo, front mount air to air bar and plate style intercooler
* 304 stainless steel tubing, which is mandrel bent for great flow (This kit boasts direct bolt-on with no cutting or modifications needed).
* On a conservative streetable tune of 6-7 psi, this kit produces at least 530RWHP and 500 RWTQ
Beyond the remarkable turbo system, Fastlane’s R&D department has developed additional go-fast performance items, raising the 360 hp at the wheels to the following:
* Long Tube Headers: 390 hp
* Add 3” Exhaust: 401 hp
* Add Cold Air Intake: 412 hp

Aren't people going to be limited on boost when running power adders on these new 5.0 engines? I heard they were running like 11:1. I wouldn't be the least bit upset about being stuck at 530 rwhp and 500 rwtq until I could afford some forged internals. Man there are going to be some nasty damn Camaros and Mustangs running around real soon.

the limits depend more on DCR than a static number.

Actually the 11 Mustang is supposed to have even more upgraded interior materials than the 10 and more sound deadening too. Also wasn't the 10 they tested a preproduction sample thatFOrd said all the issues would be fixed on the production cars? I had no qality issues interior or exterior with the 2010 GT I drove and all the exterior panels fit perfectly.

Actually, "Seat of the Pants" judgements have been proven to be very misleading in numerous clinical studies.
