Sending out my prayers for Mike's recovery.
We know for sure that prayers work because lots of strangers prayed for us when we had a severely premature 1-pound baby.
I'll keep you & your friend Mike in my thoughts, Donna!

Thank you all for caring about someone you have never met, but will pray for just because I asked....
God works in mysterious ways...I hope he puts His healing hands on Mike and saves his life...

This is so true (and beautiful the way you've said it ) Donna. I have been lucky so far and not lost too many people I have loved dearly - and the few I have, I have been fortunate enough to have a fond last memory of. Doesn't make losing them easier but it erases some of the "what if's"
Stories like this make me sad still :(. My BF (20 years) has diabetes and it scares me sometimes to think that I could lose her if anything goes wrong. I can only imagine how stressful it is waiting and hoping your BF gets better and not knowing. I hope your friend gets better soon I'll keep you and him (and his family) in warm thoughts.

Thanks Tessa, you are a sweet young lady and very wise beyond your years...you have a big heart and are so kind....

I am glad you got something out of my advice....it is good to have no regrets when someone dies...it is hard enough to lose that person, but even worse if you were estranged or at odds with them when they were alive...

I have lost too many people that I love dearly by this point in my life...my toughest losses were my parents...this Saturday will be 16 years since my mom died and there is not a day that goes by that I don't miss her...my dad will be gone 2 years this Sept...I am fortunate that they knew how much I loved them and cared for them, so I have no regrets, except for missing them more than I could have ever imagined....

Thanks for your prayers, they are much appreciated...

I have an update about my friend....

He is still alive, but still very, very sick...he is still in ICU...

I have been speaking to his co-worker that I met last year when he picked us up at the rental car agency to take us to the dealership when we picked up the Camaro in Virginia after taking Amtrak from NY to VA...

I will be finding out more in the coming days and I would appreciate everyone's continuing prayers...

I told Mike's friend to let him know that I am sending my love and prayers and also the prayers from my Camaro5 family too...he will pass that info to Mike about all of you praying for Mike's full recovery when he sees him...

Thank you all for being there for me, and also being there for someone you never even met, just because I asked for help...

I wholeheartedly agree - I used to be terrible at holding grudges - but since my divorce I have grown so much and have learned to let things go (takes a while sometimes but I'm much better at it ). It doesn't do us any good to stay angry over stupid things.

Glad to hear he's still hanging in there and I'm sure all of us will continue to send well wishes and prayers and all that warm fuzzy karma stuff over to you and your buddy and his family.
