Long Distance Purchase Help

I'm in a bit of a bind and don't know what to do. I found a truck I was seriously thinking about purchasing on autotrader. It's listed in NJ, and is a rather low price. But I figured that was b/c its a truck meant for work, but has a big lift in it and isn't really good for work anymore.

So i contact the seller, she says it's clean, clean title etc and the reason shes selling it is b/c it was her husbands, until they got divorced and she got it. She gave me the vin to do my own check, but now she tells me she moved to CA.

Thats a little sketchy, but I'm not deterred yet b/c she wanted to use ebay purchase protection which insures and protects. Theres one more thing though, she says she had another buyer who was going to buy and ship the truck but found another vehicle. The shipping company couldn't refund the shipping though, so the shipping would be free.

That last part doesn't really add up with me, I would walk away now but the ebay safe purchase makes me stay. I really just dont know what to do. There definitely is a risk, but ebay is a safety net, i really just dont know, What would you guys do in this situation?

it is a scam, I have come across this several time looking through craiglist.

stay away!

Yeah if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. It sounds like a scam to me.

oh ya, after a little more digging, it's a total scam.
