Nice, I'd get one too if I was looking to buy in that automotive segment.

I think the Edge competes with the Traverse, and the Escape competes with Equinox.

Not really because we havent gone on the highway yet and we've only been driving around South Bend. Only have 50 miles on the car so far. Right now the avg says 16mpg but like i said thats over 50miles and I have a bit of a lead foot.

I do have it in "eco" mode which really makes no difference.

ive heard that it takes about 500-1000 miles to get the EPA gas mileage as advertised.

correct. and when you compare Nox vs. Escape there is NO COMPARISON. The Escape platform and design is VERY OLD and simply has nothing in common with the Nox

Awesome choice!
I used to have an 05 and I loved that, but it's unbelievable how much they've made it even better.
Enjoy! I'm sure you'll love it. It even comes out of my province like the Camaro!

yeah, same here. My mom bought her 05 brand new. Its a great car and the new ones have taken it to an even better level. Her's has around 78K on it now and hasn't had any problems other than a TC issue when it was new. Her's was one of the first ones and needed a computer update for the TC... one night TC just kicked on and cut all power... that wasn't fun (oh, and it was raining). Her's is FWD and I've only driven it in the snow a little. It had trouble on some hills. I've been looking at maybe getting a 2010 V6 AWD as a daily driver actually... I think I'd prefer the AWD to FWD..

Recently bought one for the wife and she loves it. Now she has plenty of nooks and crannies to cram her garbage in. Its amazing how much less time is spent on detailing the inside of the Camaro now!!! lol
She lets me drive it from time to time and it is very comfortable, has loads of room, and actually looks nice. Above all it gets pretty good gas mileage.

Actually the larger Flex competes with the traverse. Sizewise the Equinox is more of an edge competitor, but that said the escape is more the direct competitor (Edge is meant to be a little more upscale). Also if I am not mistaken the 11 or 12 Explorer should be similar in size too. I like Ford, but I have to wonder what is the use for so many crossovers? THink about just Ford> Escape, edge, flex, explorer, 2 Lincolns, 1 mercury. Given still not as bad as Toyota (count the SUVs, you will need 2 hands).

well the Kuga is rumored to replace escape. explorer 2 should be interesting. i really dont understand why the Flex sells at all. Its very expensive and pretty ugly in my opinion. I have a hard time calling it a crossover even, its more of a large wagon.

But yeah, your right, its a lot of suv's/crossovers for one company
