No doubt this is holding back developement for superchargers etc. It was the same way for the Solstice VVT auto engine. I still don't know if they cracked that engine yet.

I think the Mustang will win. Just too much mass for the camaro and the hp numbers are too close ..

Both cars are great looking cars I think!!

My guess would be about a 12.7 @ 111 to 112 MPH for the GT ..

i agree, the window for the best runs is just about closed at this time of year.

369rwhp and 357 ft/lbs

She picked up 6whp and tied the SS in peak power

So it's true Ford did underate the 5.0 it is around 426hp

Good info, tks. Are you confident that you got all the 87 octane out? Would be really neat if you could post another graph with this run and the one from the SS.

i believe its SAE certified engine so its not underrated. i believe It just puts down equal power due to a more efficient drivetrain.

Probably some, as most cars are dyno-ing in the 370-375 RWHP range. While the live axle will eat a bit less power than an IRS, and the MT82 *might* be more efficient at transmitting power, it seems a bit of a stretch that the car only loses ~40 HP going from the flywheel to the rear.

Then again, I guess its hard to say for sure.

i see corvette dynoes much higher than the camaro dynoes with the same mods so i think its believeable.

I don't think it's certified yet maybe to soon, but my little hp calculator is putting it a 457hp at the crank

That's only like a 10% drivetrain loss. Yeah, I would say it has a more efficient drivetrain. That's amazing really.

thats because youre calculating at almost 20% drivetrain loss.
