the automatic 5.0 put down 371rwhp and it has different gearing than the manual version so who knows. I see a lot of SRT8 Charger guys run over 108mph trap speeds (ive even seen 110mph quoted) putting down the same power to the wheels and coming in over 600lbs more than the Mustang that has better gearing. Im not saying the clock wasnt messed up maybe it was, but 115mph trap speed is indeed possible and we cant just throw it out because somebody doesnt like it.

that 371 rwhp was aso acheived by dynoing in 3rd gear. this inflates the results a bit.

fact is the 115 trap speed just doesn't make sense.

No exaggerration was done on purpose. Going by your logic you also exaggerated when you said the evo's 5.0 only had control arms (suspension wise), no?

IMO i dont care what times cars run in the 1/4, what i really care about is the trap speed. The trap speed gives a good indication of a car's potential in a roll race (thats where i think orangechevy's camaro will shine). Again this is all just MY opinion

actually dynoing it in a shorter gear usually DEFLATES the results a bit, unless the car has really crappy gearing and has to go all the way to something like 175mph due to a higher redline.

Thats not likely to happen. But maybe we'll see what a 5.0 does with a 200 shot, IF the block can handle it

i think the reason so many Mustang guys troll here is to correct all the mis-information on here...and im not talking just "mustang vs camaro" shit, but just all the mis-information in general. just the few pages ive read on here has shown me the amount actual knowledge on this board and let me tell you...its not much.

Its still there.... Kinda dead, but there is a small group including myself who still keep it going. TA`s gone, 06 Vette`s gone, have an 08 Vette and this portly 10 Camaro... I`m still getting the most out of them though. Very much looking forward to the Whipple getting on the SS, its a little slow for my taste at the track, but is a lot of fun to drive around town. Very peppy w/ the tune and CAI and headers. Plus its really is a head turner, you wouldn`t beleive the number of people, staring, giving thumbs up, talking to you at lights and gas stations.

Most mustang guys on here are cool. The losers get weeded out pretty much and banned.
