i want to see what how much the pullies will add. The parasitic losses with the stock ones due to the accesories must be pretty noticeable at 7000rpm!

405rwhp/375rwtq. that puts the 5.0 about 30rwhp less than the average bolton LS3 SS. there is still more to be had in driveshaft, tuning, CAI,etc.
At what RPM is that peak though? I'm not saying it is not impressive, but it is power under the curve that wins races, not the peak numbers. If the 5.0 hits that at 6600 rpm and as soon as you drop down to 5000 after shifting you are back at 300 rwhp (just for illustrative purposes) a similarly modded LS3 with a better power curve will likely still pull away. Ok, continue the circle jerk mustang fanatics...

hey guys just traded my camaro ss in for a Mustang GT $32,280 with military discount..
took the brembro brakes, hood scoops, side scoops, and louvers..
who needs gears I'll just up the power till it can spin the tires..

Just f**kin with you guys.. Why would I do that..
(still mad at ford for offering ford racing parts then all dealers not willing to install and ford doing nothing)

Torque didn't seem to pick up all that well, and IMO that is what the Mustang needs more of.

Looks like 300ft-lbs of torque starting at 2800rpm, peaking at 375 @ 4500rpm and staying above 325ft-lbs a the way to 7000prm.

Obviously it did in the range that is actually used for racing or there wouldn't be more horsepower

There is a dyno chart here

http://forums.themustangsource.com/s...482618&page=18

The car makes at least 10 more ft lbs from 4,000 RPM on and the gains just grow as the RPM rises.

Edit - Whoops, somebody beat me to it.

Another tidbit: 3824 lbs on the scale with a full tank and a 198 lb driver. Considering that gas weighs about 6 lbs/gal, with a quarter tank you've got a sub-3600 lb car and that's a loaded Premium model with the Brembo package and 19's.

Well that's not a great gain seeing as how the stock 5.0 makes 390 to the wheels
