Also, I want to note that I hate the Challenger because one time it made a sexual pass at me. I don't deserve that kind of shabby treatment no matter how slutty I dress!

I can understand that...Challengers..Camaro's..they're just aggressive cars. In a world of BMW's and other "safe" cars..it is natural the difference would be stark.

Same with me and my Durango. More people tried when I got my 08 Avenger R/T..but since I got my Challenger R/T it has been non-stop.

Mostly brain damaged, stupid looking "gangsta" kids in ricers that have horrible exhausts and for some reason have roll cages installed in 16 second cars..

That and late 80's/early 90's 5.0 Mustangs. Had one today pull up along side and rev his engine like mad. I recognized the car..it runs low 15's at the track. I just let him pass.

I know what you mean by the ricers, the civics in my town apparently have a chip on their soldier. I raced a built (from what he told me) 90s Mustang with slicks, etc. and he only ran a 8.5 in the 1/8th, of course he was traction limited like me (poorly prepped track) A cousin of mine has a Charger R/T that was only tuned that ran a 9.3 in the 1/8th a couple weeks before.

If I could ever win the Lotto I'd have both the Camaro and Challenger. Maybe a Mustang too!!. Love them all. Local dealer has a red Challenger for $41,000. The Camaro was $4000.00 less.

I'm telling ya! If I ever won, I'd buy two more Camaros(black+S.I.M.), a Challenger STR8, an Aston Martin DB9, Corvette ZR1, and............a Veyron. Oh boy can't a guy dream. Seriously,......that's all I'd buy,....for today.

I'm a big camaro fan, a big mustang fan and a big challenger fan, but if I won the lotto, none of them would be in my driveway. It would just waste space for Maseratis, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Astons and of course the CCX that I would have to have.

Well this is proof that the Challenger R/T can run low 13's. If someone can't do it, then I hope they don't blame the car. Look in the mirror.
Nice job!

Dumb question: Are the RT's any slower than the SRT's on a track?

Stock for stock..R/T's are sometimes equal, if not faster on the track. The softer suspension and tires on the R/T's allows for better grip and weight distribution. The 5.7L also produces more power and torque down low, where you need that power in drag racing.

Fully modded out the SRT has more "potential" for being a race winner than the R/T, but stock for stock and mildly modified (long tubes, full exhaust, intake, etc) the R/T has more practical power. A lightly modified R/T will run in the high to mid 12's, a lightly modified SRT will run only in the high 12's.

SRT's come far better equipped from the factory, so they have less room to grow. The R/T's exhaust manifold, throttle body, tune and exhaust is so bad that they turn into different animals when modded.
