I have a Kodak M1033 that is capable of taking up to 30 mins of HD footage. I got it a few years ago. Recharagable battery. Got it at Wal Mart for a few hundred bucks. 10MP photos with35-105mm equiv, AF 3X optical zoom. Has smart capture with facial dection.

I love it.

Its approximately the width and higth of a credit card, and is about an inch thick. I believe that they still sell them.

Good luck and I hope that you find a camera that you love.

I use a Nikon D90 for pictures. Very nice DSLR camera.

I also do HD video recording/editing and use the following:

Sony HVRHD1000U:

Attached to that, I record it to compact flash using this memory recording unit:

Cool, some nice shots you have there, thanks for posting. I'm still in the learning stages with this camera, it's my first DSLR.... so far so good. I'll post up some shots when I get something worth sharing

For everyday shooting I just use my old sony p100 and newer w300 but when I need the dslr I've got a sony a900

Personally, I can't go wrong with sony

Fortunately, I received the a900 as a gift from my parents

A polarizing filter would do you wonders! Nice lens choice, I have the F2.8 non-IS.

Actually... forgot to mention I had my B+W CP on...

If I was still shooting gymnastics I definitely would have went with the 2.8... now a days, it's motor sports on nice sunny days! LOL! So the F4 and the dual mode IS was a better choice...
