Yep. I've never had problems with edelbrock products in the past.

I'll just have to deal with my voided warranty because this fall I will have one of the blowers installed.

That is definitely one thing in their favor.

Yeah... but I get the feeling the SS is going to be more than fast enough for me as is (actually, I know it will be) and I don't think I'll have a problem holding off for a while to get the blower, if at all. But exhaust and suspension work will be on the table almost as soon as the car hits my driveway.

I've had problems with Edelbrock in the past bought a Holley and never had a problem. Edelbrock + fire = not good then add firemen spraying water in the car after the fire was already out and that equals all kinds of bad

In my experience most bracket racing is not done in "indexes" - you set your own time based on what you're running against. So, I could theoretically have run my 17.58 second hyundai with a 17.500 set time against somebody with a 13.000 set time and won, if I were closer without going under.

hmm...interesting..I think it makes for a better race when they are together IMO

Just depends on how you look at it. True bracket racing is designed to pit driver against driver, not car against car. There is always a bigger fish. But in bracket racing, its the consistency of the driver that counts. A very good driver and set their mark time very close to what they're running, and be safe. An inconsistent driver has to set it below their lowest time to avoid breaking out, but then might run a much slower time and be way off and lose that way.

I agree that straight up whomever-gets-there-first-wins racing is incredibly fun, but bracket racing has its purpose as well.

Bracket racing FTW. You're racing against yourself.

Damn, somebody on LS1tech is selling an LQ4 (it's the 6.0l iron version of the LS1) shortblock for dirt cheap. Wish I had the garage space for an engine swap. That block with any of the head and cam kits from summit would be an easy HP/TQ increase.

Gotta keep up with all those fifth gens running around

My last run at the fest I hit the limited in first and lost .9 seconds. I was running against a 12 second corvette. I was going to lose either way, obviously, but if it were bracket racing I would have lost because I hit the limiter - not because I was running against a 12 second vette.

LMAO. Of course not. Hope you feel better soon.

Remember to stay hydrated. If you don't have powerade or gatorade or similar, water with some sugar and a dash of salt is basically the exact same thing, minus the artificial flavors.
