Mustangs

I see a lot of posts blasting the Mustang. I've never owned one, owned 3 Camaros, but I don't see why there's Mustang bashing, It's a beautiful car, and I think Ford did an excellent job in capturing the retro feel of the classic 'stangs. I think it's testament to American design and engineering. I just have a deep fondness for Camaros, since all three of mine were beautiful, dependable and fun cars. But I'm sure there are mustang owners that feel the same way we do about our cars..

Well just a lot of diehard GM fans and this is a camaro site but in most part it's about whose Johnson is bigger and of course it's mine

Some people have to stroke their own ego by bashing others. Obviously I love the Camaro and I picked it over a new Mustang but I had a Mustang before this car. I simply didn't like the rear of the new Mustang but I have nothing against them and recognize that they are good cars.

Mustangs are cool cars, If I had the money, I'd own one of those too!
Camaro was just a better fit for what I wanted.

I have owned several Mustangs...loved them all. This is my 1st Camaro...unless you count my Dad's 69. I really like all of the American Muscle Cars...boils down to which I like the BEST when I am ready to buy. Ford hit a HOME RUN with the 2003/2004 SVT Cobras...serious bang for the buck,hand assembled engines set up for FI ect ect..all that and it was/is very easy and cheap to extract relatively huge power gains from that car...~$1500 would get you a 50+ RWHP gain...
GM hit the HOME RUN this time IMO...I would own a 1st Gen and a 5th Gen Camaro...everything inbetween...not so much for ME. The level of quality feeling is what suprised me the most about the 5th Gen..made my 2003/2004 Cobras feel kind of cheap really...and definitely a step above the 4th Gen Camaros IMO..
Hopefully that feeling stays around after some miles...

I know its not a mustang, but after my girlfriend had a 2002 ford explorer, that just reconfirmed my feelings that I will never, ever buy a ford...ever loll

I have no issues with Mustangs, in fact I owned a first gen Stang. I went to a outing in one of our local cities yesterday. They were having a Mustang show there. There were some bad ass cars from 65 to current. I'd say 80% of them were supercharged versions. A lot were GT500, Cobras, Shelby's and just looked fast as hell just sitting there. In the mix were about a dozen Roush cars complete with autographs from Jack. I tried to crash the party with my Transformers, but they wouldn't let me in the mix. I still parked as close to the action, and still had swarms of people gathering around my car... It was all good though from both sides, and the kids loved getting close to the Bumble Bee and getting their picture taken ....

I think GM will have big problem when Mustang 2011 will come out. It is cheaper than Camaro and has 400+ and it seems that it has better engine than Camaor and much better full economy so let bet man win.

Look at it this way. not everyone thinks the mustang is a great looking car. And there are people that don't like the camaro. Some people like both and some people don't like either one. On a camaro site a lot of people are die hard camaro fanboys. And the same is to be said about a mustang site. No one really HATES mustangs here. I think... and most of the bashing is all in good fun. You know it's a "my car is better than your car" type thing. Go check the grille on any camaro and you might find some crumbs. From a mustang.

I have nothing against mustangs. I've always loved them since i was a kid. If I didn't have my camaro I probably would have picked up a the 5.0 when i came out. I just happened to have fallen in love with the Camaro styling. When they hit production last year I said that I'd have one within 2 years. Here i am 9 months later with a brand new camaro. I bought it without ever test driving it.

What I don't like are mustang owners. Alot of em are just complete douche bags and think they can beat any car on the planet. The cool ones I've met are true car enthusiasts that love cars in general
