We've got an '09 Dodge 5500 crew cab dump truck with the 6.7 cummins turbo diesel. The interior is plain (typical dodge) but its really comfortable to drive, got a ton of power and has had no problems whatsoever. I'd like to try out one of the new Silverados and see how they are. Going from driving 5-10 year old F550's at work to that 5500 was a huge difference. It seemed like the F550's were in the shop constantly too (hey, they're ford).

we used to have a mid 90's F150 at work and it really sucked. It was a 5 speed but it seriously wanted to be a 4 speed.... you'd be going down the highway in 5th and then all the sudden it would just jump out of gear... man, I'm so glad that thing is gone. I've driven a 06 F150 and it wasn't too bad. A friend of mine has one and hasn't had trouble with it at all. My only issue is his aftermarket exhaust sounds great but has the worst drone I've ever heard going down the highway.

So has my brother in law. My hubbys Chevy's had to pull ALL his F150's (including the one he just got a year ago) on a trailer to the dealership. I am not exaggerating. I even tooks pics just to give my brother in law hell. lol

We tease each other a great deal about Ford vs Chevy. He has had more bad luck than me so I love messing with him. (now watch I will jinx myself huh)

Dont get me wrong I work for Chevy I drive Silverados every day My Hemi will out perform the Vortec MAX in more ways then just horsepower Sorry I experince this on a daily basis When I'm not driving my Camaro I drive my 09 RAM just saying I'm not a fan of Chevy's trucks. Gotta say the warranty repairs are alot lower on Chevy trucks than Dodge trucks. Love being in the car business

You don't want the extended cab, you want the crew cab. I sat in the back of an extended cab at the auto show, it's for short rides.
