Can someone help help me understand choosing a better cam over stock? For say maybe a 1978 street 350?

I will take a stab at it.
![]() Stock smog motor with stock heads and stock compression - no other real mods? If so, you can use a Comp 268H. That is a default for that application. It works. Headers, converter and intake will help some but are not mandatory. If you have more mods than that you will need to provide a lot more info. It is important to match the cam to the application and the rest of the setup. -Mark. |

Call Thunder Racing. 877 516 race.
Best cams out there IMO. Very friendly customer support. |

Street small block Chevys love any brand cam with 220 intake duration and 230 exhaust duration on 110 lobe seperation angle - 112 LSA is OK too.
