So if you taking it to the track put one in it. Remember this car is for the masses not just gear and raceheads. Most people want a comfort ride so IRS is the way to go not a solid. If you are in to mostly racing then convert it, simple solution. I converted my IRS on my 05 GTO to a solid rear, and thats because it a drag only car.

Whoever wrote it is 100% correct, biased or not.

It will weigh the most of the 3 and have the least hp. It's common sense.

Don't both the Camaro SS and the Camaro V6 models have stock dual exhaust already?

Honestly most people buying these cars could care less if it has IRS or a better ride. And heck, just because it has a live axle doesn't mean it has a bad ride. I have had quite a few live axle cars that would put a number of modern IRS cars to shame when it comes to ride quality.

believe he was referring to a new Chally engine that will be coming out. I haven't heard of it yet (hell, i haven't hear anything from Dodge PERIOD for a while), but if they ARE coming out with new engines to compete with the Camaro and Stang then that is good news

Is it supposed to be in the 2011 Challengers?

They just upgraded the 4-speed auto to a 5-speed auto in the 2010 Challenger SEs. Them changing the engine out the next year seems awful fast.

yes they will be putting in the 280-300 hp phoenix engine in the SE(with a possible turbo shortly after.....either way it doesnt matter to chrysler because the challenger has the luxury of not having to sell 100k a year like the camaro and mustang, which is a fact few people miss when talking about the challenger and how it needs to keep up with chevy and ford.

well... I don't really care if it sells in the same volumes that the Camaro and Stangs do. But as a fellow muscles car, it needs to keep up performance wise The more competition the better!

Well you need to try to explain that to the guys at the plant that will be jobless come June because its shutting down for good. BTW, its one of the more advance plants dodge has in the country...

Dodge needs to sell more, they need to compete better, and in truth, I do not think think the real "mopar" will survive for much more..on the course they are currently on.

again i agree..........but the challenger is not the answer.....it is a low volume 2 door muscle car solely made to make the mopar guys happy and it has. the redesigns to the charger 300 and the new 200c plus fiat economical cars should put chrysler back on track.

i agree but chrysler had to deal with daimler fiasco so they didnt have the luxury or the money to make the challenger what it should have been(although they did a damn near perfect job on the styling).

I hope so..But the rumor mill running around the plant is that Fiat..the new overlords, are not going to release the 200c....Hope its not true.
