Window Tint

Can someone tell me if it is common practice to put tint on the outside of the car, instead of the inside? I was watching Uniquie Whips on Speed and they showed thier tint guy putting it on the outside. I have never heard of this, have you?

he was probly fitting it on the outside so he could trim it and possibly mold it to the shape of the window before putting it inside the car. i've see this done before especially when working with a window that has a rather large curve to it!

lol.im a tinter,the tint is cut shaped and formed on the outside THEN applied on the inside.you never watched anyone tint before?????????
