How many times have you been stopped?

I have been driving for 12 years already. The question is how many times have you been stopped?

1st stop! Auburndale, WI on Highway Rural H! Got pulled over by a State Trooper for no front plate on my Pontiac Grand Am and was speeding. Got away with 2 written warnings.

2nd stop! Wisconsin Rapids, WI on Highway 73. Just won $300 at the casino no joke and got stopped by a Wood County Sheriff for drivin with the brights on my mom's sunfire. Got a verbal warning.

3rd stop! Good old Stevens Point. Got pulled over for driving down a one way street the wrong way on a Sunday. Wasn't drunk but overally stressed out. Dog just passed away and had about 3 Final Exams that week. It costed me $160.80 and 3 points off my license!

4th Stop! Down in Madison, WI coming back from a Brewer Game got stopped for having a tinted plate cover on the Saturn. Got a written warning for tinted plate cover and beads hanging from my rearview.

5th Stop. In Nekoosa, Wi in my mom's G5. Was going the posted speed limit on curb and got picked up for driving too slow. Got away with a Verbal Warning.

The sad part is when I had dark hair the cops never stopped me once. As soon as I started higlighting my hair all hell broke loose:(

...I have been stopped too many times. Most of them for speeding, like 8 times. Once for not using my blinker, twice for not having a front license plate and both times got away with a warning. Another time for tint and I passed a CHP once doing 50 on a 40 a zone, he didn't pull me over, he just got on his PA system and said: "slow that machine down", talk about luck! My 92 camaro got me way too many tickets! thats all that I can 'member for now! LOL!

1st time ever. Driving home from my Girlfriends house in high school in my 78 Silverado at 3am. I run a red light and the only other car around was coming towards me and it was a cop. Damn!

2nd time. High School, in my Mom's 1990 Lumina Euro, no front plate!!

3rd time. Shortly after High School, I let my girlfriend drive my 4th GEN Z/28, we got pulled over for no reason. They ran our ID's and plates. Let us go. My guess is they were profiling. Two 18 year olds in a brand new Z/28.

4th time. In proper lane change. I was in my 2002 Monte Carlo SS. I had my signal on but didn't wait the full three seconds before moving into the right lane.

So the the 4th time happend about five years ago. I haven't been pulled over since.

1st time was some defective equipment non-sense. Only warnings were issued since I just bought the car. Plus I was on my way over to my girlfriends house. This was actually pretty funny. "What are you doing out here?" I explained to him that her parents were gone for the night. "So? You're still not telling me why you're over here." Finally I said, "I'm gonna have sex with her, officer." He actually blushed, shook his head and told me to get going.

2nd time was for running a red light.

3rd time was for "prohibited tire noise". I guess standing on the throttle wasn't such a good idea right in front of a cop.

4th time was for speeding on the freeway. 61 in a 55. Warning for that.

5th time was for speeding on the freeway. 71 in a 55. Got bent over for that one.

6th time was for running a red light. Cop was driving a station wagon to work and decided I needed a ticket. He followed me all the way home.

7th time was for speeding. 37 in a 25 zone.

You are lucky. My policy is, if she's hot, she's getting a ticket. No offense, but that way noone can say I'm discriminating.

Not that I haven't let some hotties go, as well as, ummmm, others.

I drove an 18 wheeler for nearly ten years.

I've probably been stopped over 100 times in my life.

I'd say 25 of them while in my POV.

About 12 tickets.

None in the 5 years leading up to my Camaro. Stopped 6 times since I've had it. 3 tickets.

I've been doing good lately. Been going for about 4 years with no tickets. Probably about 40-50 stops all through highschool/college. prob 9-10 tickets total. All speeding except for 1 redlight ticket, 1 "drag racing" ticket and 1 front plate ticket.

As I said, no tickets in the past 4 years luckily so let's hope I can keep the streak alive. I was getting 1-2 tickets a year for a while...

1st. --Somewhere around 85 in a 55. Made nice with officer and received a warning.

2nd -- They were stopping everyone coming down that hill! Ticket for 4 or 5 miles over posted speed.

3rd -- I think it was 43 in a 35. Very nice officer. He let me go with a warning.

Not many experiences as I do most of my speeding at the track, but here's the only 3 times I was pulled over.

1st - Flint, MI in the late 80's on Flushing. 56 in a 45 in my 2nd gen. Total speed trap. It didn't help that I had "I can't drive 55" airbrushed on the back of the spoiler. Just ASKING to get stopped. Young and dumb.

2nd - AZ around 1995. Working with a friend who was an engineer at the GM desert proving grounds. Doing some "driveability" work with a mule car off campus. I was riding shotgun and "watching" some test instruments. He offered to let me to drive. I got pulled over for a "do you know how fast you were going" conversation. We pulled our GM business cards and starting talking really fast in engineer speak about exactly why we needed to be going that fast. Forgot to mention that we could have been doing this on private property on GM's track and were really just showing off. The officer was really cool and seemed to be more interested in what we were driving and what he thought we were doing than my infraction. Let me off with a warning and we got out of there.

3rd - March 2009 - I-684 at Exit 6 in NY in the first 5th gen to get to GM's office in Westchester county. This car literally was just off the truck and I took it out to see what it could do. Floored it on the northbound on ramp and took it up to about 65-70 VERY quickly before I noticed the cop already on 684 behind me. I backed down to 55. He followed me for awhile, then pulled me over. Turns out he saw the dealer plate on the car, figured I worked for the local dealer where he knows everyone, and didn't think much of pulling me over just to check out the car. He never even saw the brief WOT burst. After I put my heart back in my chest, we talked about the car for about 30 minutes. He's a real fan, owns a 4th gen and wants a 5th gen REAL BAD. Unfortunately, this was at 5:30 PM and just about the entire office saw me on the side of the road on their way home. Let's just say a lot of people got some mileage out of this at my expense the next day.

I seriously can't even remember how many times I have been stopped or how many tickets/warnings I have gotten in the past. I can tell you though I cannot get one more or they may take my license because I have only 2 pts left. I have been given this warning since August when I placed my order for my SS (stopped 4 times in one week-twice by the same trooper in the SAME day) so I have been VERY lucky that they kept letting me go. I finally got it through my head to quit speeding (until I get my points back up..jk)

btw..I have dark hair and I got pulled over a lot so I doubt its the hair color that keeps getting you stopped. :-)
