You know there's a problem when... (Car jokes and related stories)

Decided to make a thread for the FIX IT AGAIN TONY and Found on the road dead jokes.. and maybe the dead horse smiley. But seriously, this thread has a real genesis that got really funny last night.

My mom was bringing the Edge home from Kalamazoo (graduated, so I'm home for free now). On her way she calls me.

"Mike.. the wipers stopped working."

"What?"

"Yeah, I just hit the washer button, and when the wipers stopped they were in the middle of the window."

o_O

"Well.. uh pull over at a rest stop and shut the car down, then restart"

*30 minutes later*

"It worked."

"Must have Vista installed.."

Yeah. A 2007 Ford Edge SEL AWD.. Well I had this happen twice before in the past month and thought I was doing something wrong (<_<) but it turns out that the relay for the wiper motor may be bad. At 38000 miles.

Wat.

I won't even get started about the fact that my mom ENJOYS CHRISTINE MORE THAN THE EDGE (Christine: 2001 Ford Explorer Sport 4x4). In fact, now I have to drive it full time until either they trade it in August 1 or I move out.

Said she can't wait to trade it in. Compared to her '92 Silhouette, '00 and '03 Durango SLTs.. this vehicle has been the worst in maybe 20 years. Before that she drove a Cutlass that she started with a pencil propping the butterfly valve open because the Rochester sucked major arse in that car.

Thats ok. My alternator support bracket broke in half while I was on the interstate, 450 miles from home and 350 from where I was going.

My 93 Jetta had bad injectors (well bad everything, actually) that actually made it a Winter ONLY car. The engine would NOT restart when it was hot. It had to cool down, so it ran great when it was -20 outside, but it barely started in the summer.

I was gonna fix it, until I saw what Herr Volkswagen wanted for parts and labour.
