I'd say the Mustang GT will still be quicker than the Challenger R/T, and I think it's weight is what's really affecting it. Especially seeing that the Challenger R/T with the 5.7L Hemi in it has 375hp and 404lbs ft. lbs of torque w a 6spd manual. But going off those #'s it doesn't look like it's helping it much. The SE's and R/T's that are on the lot ARE going for sticker, or below sticker now... There isn't a markup on them. I'm not sure about the SRT-8's because 1) I didn't look at them, 2) I only asked him about the SE's and the R/T's But yes, most were purchased by the dealers initially and were marked up to hell, but a lot of people also did pre-order them.

All of that is def true. In fact overall I think the Challenger is better than the Mustang. So for personal preference you definitely get what you want.
But judging from the #'s we've seen so far, it looks like the Mustang GT will still be quicker than the Challenger R/T.

oh you savvy Mustang fanatics. If that car(Mustang GT) wasnt a ford I would jump right on it The fact of the matter is, IMO, there are way too many mustangs out there. I would gladly jump on slightly slower, heftier Challenger, before I cross over to Ford, just to help even out the odds... but the Camaro is at the top of my list so no need to come to unnecessary conclusions

wow ur dealers are total different then mine lol. i have loads of challangers on the roads, a mix of se,rt's and srt8s. the dealers got nothin. hell i see more challangers than mustangs on the roads. it probly doesnt help that im located were they produce the challanger so getting it aint a problem.
