hey any body here bothered by ike. my power went out for 3 days. it suked. but thankfully my

is safe.

yeah i still do not have power. i live in friendswood which is basically where the eye of the hurricane first made land fall. we are running off a generator and since i am in galveston COUNTY, i am not expecting to get power for a couple more weeks so this sucks cause our house is super hot. but we are better off than most. we have water and we have our generator so we are okay. for now lol.

My thoughts and prayers are with you who had damge and issues due to ike. One silver lining is at least your new gen 5 didnt get flooded.

I was just noticing TXTurbo has not been on in a couple days. According to his profile He is in Rosenberg,Texas 61 miles from Galveston, keep him in your prayers guys.

im sure he is safe. but i bet he has just lost power like most of us have. but yes keep everyone in your prayers as well as everyone affected by this storm.

here's something funny:
a friend of mine from germany is visiting the US for the second time now. A few years ago he went to Florida and got hit by a hurricane. This last weekend he was supposed to fly into Austin, TX and once again he got hit by a hurricane (actually they cancelled his connection flight from detroit and he had to spend a day or so at the airport). Talk about bad luck lol. I bet if he was going to San Francisco he'd get hit by an earthquake. I'm going with him to Vegas next week, i hope he has more luck over there

Hmm.... see if you can talk him out of visiting Florida again. Have him visit a known enemy of the United States and bring them some interesting weather.

nothing wrong with me but My sister lost power, and all of her trees were uprooted, both of them.

my pops has a landscaping biz and we've been trimming trees like crazy. We had a generator to but we let my uncle borrow it. He still has no power and has 2 baybys. He stays in rosharon. There's also been a lot of price gouging these guys were sellin 10 Lbs ice for 12 bucks which is ussually 2 bucks. And gettin gas is a bitch! Lines are crazy I waited 40 min to fill up my pops 2500

. N we actually need the gas to clean up. But I'm not saying other people don't need it either. Ps thanks for the prayers n my prayers also go out to the people that were affected.

well i just found out a couple hours ago that im screwed. our transformer got knocked down in the storm surge so now its sitting under about two feet deep of muddy ocean water. great. they said power will be back in two weeks at the earliest... grrrrr. running the generator is so expensive it eats seven gallons of gas in about 12 hours.
