Boys, I actually owned a B5 Blue Classic R/T challenger, sold it and made a little money. Good car but I am taking delivery on a 2ss ABM Camaro next week. The Camaro just performs better and has more bells and whistles. To keep up with a 2ss camaro you have to get the SRT Challenger which is about 8K more. That is why I am buying a Camaro this time. Keep in mind that over time the Challenger may be worth more because they are produced in fewer #'s.

When the new Challenger came out, I almost bit. When the Camaro came out I gobbled it up.

Have you read all the comparo reviews between the 3 muscle cars? The Chally ALWAYS comes in last! Especially the R/T! It's a DOG! I like the looks of all 3 modern muscle cars but the Camaro BY FAR is the best, IMO!

if its a v6 chally and v6 camaro then ide mos def get the v6 camaro. the v6 chally is way too much of a snail for my tastes. but if its an r/t then thats different. chrysler should def get a better v6 for it.

Like I said, all he would have to do is drive a Challenger.
Those that are busting his chops are just making it worse... OP drive a Challenger and then decide...

other than this it is too slab sided and shapeless (just saw it at the Intl. Auto Show). the Camaro by far has the most emotionally stirring shape of the 3. |

+1 ... and, by the way, did you check the sticker? Unless there was one heck of a discount off the Challenger sticker, you got a lot more car for the $$$ in the Camaro. Trust me, I DID THE COMPARSION, TEST DRIVE AND RESEARCH...

I dig the front end of the challenger, but I think the camaro wins overall in the looks department because it looks amazing at ANY angle, especially the back. Its ghettobootilicious. And lets be honest, most people are going to be looking at the back my car with the way I drive.

Yes, the interior is Chrysler Craptastic, and it doesnt handle as well, blah, blah, blah - but I think the Challenger is every bit as hot looking as a Camaro. Not everyone cares about handling and beating the car next to you to the next stoplight (like me for example). If the Challenger had a real interior, I might be in one now.
Bang for the buck factor, though, when comparing v6 models definitely goes Camaros way. You gotta laugh, whether it be this place or the Mustang forums, and Im sure probably all other forums as well, everyone thinks they have the fastest car on the planet. Love all the little comments everyone makes. |
