if performance is a factor, don't consider the Charger/Challenger or the Civic SI. And the Civic's better city mileage is offset by the requirement for premium gas. Mazdaspeed3 is the fastest of the bunch, and is as thirsty as the big Dodge. It will have more space, but harsher ride. The interior may be nicer, but there is no comparison for the exterior.

Go for the Camaro. It's a cool car with plenty of power. The best looking car to come along in decades. The rest are just basic transportation.

...that is, if you can handle driving a cool car.

i actually like the mazdaspeed3. the performance is nice and the cargo is good. and its an ugly car but i like it because it looks different. it looks silly to me. so it sticks out and is kinda like my personality. but you could never go wrong with any gen camaro. lol

And what V6 engine is in the cars that are sitting on dealership lots right now, or the ones that you can order from the factory? I ask because the OP is asking to replace his car 'soon' and to me, over half a year away doesn't sound very soon.

The new Camaro with the V-6 and 304h.p. is no slouch, plus you will be getting a car thats is capable of getting 29mpg!!!!! And look great doing it! Sounds to me thats a win-win proposition. You will LOVE this car!.
