Not BMW. Buick is being focused to compete against low-teir luxury brands like Lexus, Mercury...etc.

Caddy is meant to take on the big boys like BMW, Audi, etc.

Then you need to go back and look at the interiors of all of them. The only resemblance I can see in your list is Malibu from the tapering design of the center stack. The only thing Equinox and Regal have in common is the placement of the switchgear and LCD screen. Traverse looks nothing like it, and there aren't any Cadillac products that look like this.

Edit: Never mind, Equinox looks nothing like it. The only thing they have in common is that the LCD screen is at the top.

I alway thought lexus and bmw where in the same class. I in no way mean that a lexus is as good ,but just that they are targeted at the same people.
How much does this car weigh? What is the price? I guess I would have to see one in the flesh to make up my mind on it.

Not even close. Lexus, Infiniti, and Acura are all in a tier below BMW, Mercedes, and Audi. Cadillac is quickly moving upmarket to BMW's tier, and Buick is competing in Lexus's tier.

The car weighs somewhere around 3300-3600 pounds. Nobody's really sure how US safety regulations affected the Insignia's overall weight. Nobody knows pricing either.

I will admit after looking at pic's of all of them, they do have a few more difference's than I thought. However there are still very many similarities with the layout's.

And surely you can understand that's because they were all designed by the same company...

Plus -- it's not like it's a bad design...Malibu, Equinox, CTS have all gotten rave reviews, so something's gotta be good about it!

Does lexus and acura have a 4cyl only car that competes with this car ,or do all of their cars offer a 6cyl option?

THE REGAL IS GETTING A V6 FOR 2012. IT WILL NOT BE A 4 CYLINDER ONLY CAR.

Look at the TSX...

Your absolutely right, they are most definitly good looking design's. I for some reason just pictured them looking more alike than what they really were.

Lexus has no 4cyl cars, and Acura has the TSX, but that is offered with a V6.
That said...people said the SRX wouldn't sell for sh!t because it wasn't RWD....yet it more than doubled in sales....

I knew you would be happy to see this Fen

Insignia is a nice car. I was impressed...Spent some time in Germany when my husband was assigned to a program that took him there.

I just hope they keep a manual (for selfish reasons!)

I am frustrated with the packaging of the '10 CTS packages to keep the car manual...I understand the low volume, but I am running out of daily driver options fast! This would fit that need (in a manual)-just won't be ready by december when I need to trade in my current daily driver.

I personally like a TC 4-cylinder I know it's no V8 (we have a few of those too, but they're fun to drive).

Solstice and Saab are great and I get about 30-34 mpgs in the Saab mixed driving!
