I wouldn't be so sure about that. The Volt concept was about as aerodynamic as a brick. It was only meant to draw people to the car and the technology inside. The Converj looks as though it was designed for maximum aerodynamics, and Lutz has said that any production model will differ very slightly from the concept.

body style yes, but the lights and other cool things (at least I considered them cool) were changed cus the didnt meet legal requirements)

sure...I agree. I don't however, see any major issues with the Converj's lights, etc...they seem production-intent. (big enough, etc)

When we talked to Fbod at the OC auto show, he said the it was a go. However it would be a limited run simply because of production cost.


Oh yeah, and the ability to see 180 degrees behind you without mirrors!!

Not technically a hybrid. A hybrid uses a combination of gas/electric power to move the car. The Volt and Converj never draw power directly from the gasoline generator. The generator serves only to keep the battery level at a sustainable charge. It never directly drives the car.

And because it's an electric car, it has instant torque, which can be manipulated for sport applications.
