...but what sometimes gets really irritating is when you actually do get to know her & then when you let her know you like her, she gets that "i couldn't date you now" attitude

It's been my experience that, unfortunately, women aren't very good judges. They pick bad guys , and then when it's over they say all guys are bad.
But then maybe it's similar with men. Men can see through other men, and women can see through other women.
