I’d also like some info on this supposed V8 sedan… funny you seem to be the only one in the know here too, not even the normal click bait sites seem to be saying anything about it. I’m sure since the SS sedan sold so much better than even the 6th gen (sarcasm…) GM is certainly going to go that route again. Although we are talking about GM and they do bonehead things daily so I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt.

Nascar must be putting out bad info on their site as well.

Man this is wild!! I'm learning stuff I didn't know about the NASCAR Camaro's.. Entertaining. Thanks Tom, Tyler... The Camaro is about the only car that looks great on track, the others look like toys. lol.

"What are we gonna do with the G8?" "We can give it to Chevrolet" "What do we have to change?" "What are we allowed to change?" "Not much. Fascias...badges...interior tweaks...don't spend a lot of money." That's pretty much how the conversation went. Similar discussion on Oldsmobile Bravada becoming Buick Rainier and Saturn Vue becoming Chevrolet Captiva. A lot of discussion on the name. I and a few other people were lobbying for Chevelle. Clearly we lost that battle

What makes you think it would be limited production? The SS was limited production because it was built in Australia. The next car will be built in Lansing. The only things limiting production will be price and customer interest. I would expect that pricing would be lower than the Cadillac CT5 that shares the platform and production facility, just like 6th Gen was higher volume than ATS / CTS / CT4 / CT5.

Im sure there will be a lot of the model in V6/4 cylinder form but the 6.6 option I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s hard to find. I am aware that roughly half the 6th gens had V8’s versus the Mustang. If these have the same interest level of the 6th gens I can see GM pricing it high to make up for a lack of sales.
