They let Singletary walk and all he wanted was 5m

Beane has not handed out a second contract to a drafted RB yet ask Zack Moss how asking for a raise went

In this case they have a very tradeable commodity still under contract and this draft is deep in backs.
I love Cook, but not for $15m. I hope they find a way to work something out.

Yeah like a trade for a run stuffing DT that weighs about 330lbs

I like $3m disposable backs

I see him playing out his rookie deal and then Beane lets him walk.

What is with the NFL? they can't even release an accurate salary cap less than one month out from free agency.

Well it will be between $277.5 million and $281.5 million come on man just make it 285m flat and lets get on with it.

WTF are they doing hand counting the gate receipts from the Super Bowl?

The NHL a much smaller league with less TV revenue and gate receipts just released the salary cap 2 weeks ago for the next three years.

Yes 3 years...yet the NFL cannot even get a solid figure and need to rub nickels together with a 4m window 3 weeks out from FA.

Here is a mock draft simulator to help kill the time during the NFL's "dead period"

I went heavy on DT's as the Bills have a bunch of aging vets on one year contracts.

With only Oliver and Carter under 30 and this position as the biggest need other than edge or corner and the fact that good to great players at this position command 20m plus now.

I had lots of trade down opportunities but passed to take the BPA

The Bills should also get 2-3 Comp picks probably a 4,5 and 7 for Gabe Davis Leonard Floyd and Terrel Dodson all FA losses

While I wouldn't be happy with Beane raking 4 DT's I expect him to get at least 2 and 2 edges with a couple of CB's and another safety plus one or two WR's

30.Kenneth Grant
DT Michigan

56.Trey Amos
CB Ole Miss

62.Tez Johnson
WR Oregon

108.Bradyn Swinson
EDGE LSU

131.Elijah Roberts
DT SMU

171.Rylie Mills
DT Notre Dame

175.Nick Nash
WR San Jose State

179.
Mitchell Evans
TE Notre Dame

181.Simeon Barrow
DT Miami (FL)

208.Jarquez Hunter
RB Auburn

I also went with 3 huge DT's, a huge Center and a huge RB.

And Shilo just to piss off Deion

30 Kenneth Grant DT Michigan
60 Princely Unanmielen EDGE Ole Miss
62 Deone Walker DT Kentucky
101 Tory Horton WR Colorado State
108 Jared Wilson OC Georgia
171 Upton Stout CB Western Kentucky
175 Que Robinson EDGE Alabama
179 Phil Mafah RB Clemson
181 Cam Johnson DT Florida
208 Shilo Sanders S Colorado

In other NFL news Jason Peters 43 announces his retirement after 21 years as a premier LT.

Originally an Undrafted FA TE in 2004 the Bills signed him to the PS and elevated him to Special Teams.

For 2005 he became the Bills starting LT earning two Pro Bowls and two 2nd Team All Pro's

The Bills got cheap and refused to play the man what he was worth and after a camp hold out in 2008 he was traded to the Eagles in 2009 for 1st 4th and 6th rnd picks.

The 1st would be used on Center Eric Wood the other two picks were scrubs.

Signing a massive at the time 6 year 60m deal he went on to gather accolades as one of the best LT's the game has ever known.

9x Pro bowl

2 x 1st team AP

4x 2nd Team AP

1x SB ring

2010 All decade Team

More than 120m in career earnings he is a lock for the HOF

I was really bummed out when the Bills messed up and didn't pay this massive man and the playoff drought continued for another 8 years getting to 17 years total with plenty of other bone headed blunders.

Thankfully the new regime is making up for all that wasted time and talent with playoffs in 6 of 7 years and 5 straight AFCE titles with 2 AFCC Championship games

In other news the Bills didn't fair well in the NFLPA's players poll and McD was well down the list for Coaches.

I guess I would prefer the players not liking him but winning than the alternative.

This is not a popularity contest...his job is to develop and motivate and he clearly succeeds at that.

On the flip side the Miami players love their coach Tied for #1 and how did things go for them the last two years?

The Vkes coach tied for #1 I guess over celebrating regular season wins has some cache in some locker rooms

They looked like they had won the SB the way they were carrying on after beating the Packers Dec29th

They then lose to the depleted Lions and become the winningest wild card team ever with 14 wins

Then implode on the road in the playoffs.

Dan Campbell a very likeable guy also finished high at #3 and imploded at home in the playoffs I guess you can make excuses about the injuries but rookie QB's are not supposed to win on the road in the playoffs.

We shall see what Danny is made of this year after losing both Co Ordinator's.

As the Coach your the leader and the voice and it is not a democracy...like the old saying goes ...My Way or The Highway

Nick Shook from NFL.com has Rasul Douglas leaving the Bills in FA to join Detroit.

Please make it happen and for big bucks (better comp pick next year)

I think Beane and McD extracted every last ounce of competitive football from him.

Extending or resigning a 30 year old CB who has lost a step should not be a high priority.

Here is the guy to spend that money on.....CB Paulson Adebo, New Orleans Saints 26 yrs old

Brandon Beane answers questions about NFLPA survey at the combine.

Bills general manager Brandon Beane taken aback by criticism in NFLPA report

The NFLPA anonymous survey was not complimentary of the Bills, and GM Brandon Beane has responded publicly.

Deebo Samuel traded from the 49'ers to the Commanders for a 5th round pick

This move should clear about 13m of cap space

The trade won't be official until the new league year starts on March 12.

Miami fans are definitely excited this offseason. I’m a Dolphins fan too, but every year looks good on paper until they actually play. The Wilkins situation is a bit stressful, but the team feels different this year so there’s some hope. I’m also curious to see how Jonnu fits in.

If I get the chance, I want to catch a game in person this year. I’ve been looking where to get NFL tickets and saw there are some options for different matchups, you can check https://www.seatpin.com/nfl-tickets if you're also interested.
