I really hope you are correct. If I can get a loaded SS manual without the stick-out-the-roof sunroof for $35k I WILL BE VERY VERY HAPPY.

I don't think it will happen. $37k MINIMUM.

right! i was just thinking the same thing.

I was thinking the same thing but they are only producing 3k srt8s a year from 09 on so most sales will go to the similar powered rt. If you go srt8 you get brembos, suspension, rims, ect ect.

It's simple economics. When supply builds up and demand stays constant you pay a lower price. If demand stays constant and supply goes down, look out! GM doesn't have us held hostage. WE are still the consumer and WE still dictate the pricing.

The SRT8 thing is marketing..."I want to be the first..." Who here remembers the first SRT8 owner, what dealership it came from, or even what color it was? IT IS JUST A CAR! We aren't talking about some great battle or honor here, those jamochs who can't wait a day longer to thave the "first" one, will over pay and they will probably be fine... until the next "first" comes along.

Whent he C5 corvette came out I worked at a dealership. You would have thought the car was reserved for only heads of state. It was $5K over and not a penny less, then the Z06 came out, same thing, after a year they were selling at sticker and below. When the C6 came out my dad got his for 3-4 off sticker and I was seeing the "red tag" sale go for nearly invoice, in 2007!

Remember guys, they HAVE to sell, we DON'T have to buy. I am looking to fbodfather, he is saying we will be OK with pricing. I think OK is $32 (msrp) for a leather, 6-spd, SS (no roof).

Sorry, I get a little excited about pricing when people think they "have to pay premiums" My apologies.

hefty is the new word for it? haha just messing with you. I was just replying to the guy who comes in all tough and says the challenger is a pig when the camaro is equally as big. As for the price we don't know it yet but my guess is that it won't cost 42k loaded.

Camaro SS has to come in at the low 30's at most. Fully optioned probably 36-37k I would think. If you are hitting over 40k I'm heading (buying 2010) for a used M3, CTS-V or new 135i.

i just saw two v6 challengers at a dealership for $8000 over sticker...seems a bit ridiculous for a 4000lb 250hp car..i think those two might be sitting on the lot for a while
