Most maintenance can be done easily. Had two C7's and now a C8 along with my LT1.

Same engine Corvette racing has been using for two seasons, plenty of R&D and no blown engines. Corvette racing has been very successful for two seasons with the C8 R.

Man I may be the only one that feels this why. But I dont like the sound. I prefer the LT1 or LT2. Just not my cup of tea.

In any event GM will sell every one they can build a make a ton of money for their dealers with car. Gonna be a riot for sure.

It will be years before the prices come down to realistic, and that is on a Stingray. Z06 will be $$$$$$ for a long time.
There are more dealers selling C8s for MSRP than not. No reason on earth anyone would have to pay over MSRP on a C8 stingray. The Z06 I am not sure about, but I would hope the big volumn dealers are selling Z06s at MSRP. I ordered my 2021 C8 August 5 2020, received car may 30 2021 just about 10 months.

If you’ve ever driven a GT350 vs the previous GT500, you’ll know what I’m talking about. High revs and no torque aren’t what a muscle car guy is looking for. Also unless you are hardcore tracking the car, I’d skip the z07 package. You will really be wasting your $$$ and have very expensive parts to replace with the carbon wheels, rotors and brakes. Not to mention the R compound tires will not be suitable for the street at all. It’s still a hell of a car, but this is more suited for the ZLE crowd that are serious track guys.
The Z06 should have over 500 ftlbs of torque versus 650 on the C7 Z06. The C8 has a ton more gear than the C7 cars and that keeps the torque deficit in check. Even the base Z06 should satisfy the ZL1 1LE crowd easily. Correction on my part, 460 ftlbs of torque at 6300 rpm. Ponyboy is correct 190 torque less then the C7 Z06. The 20 horse difference ,the crazy 5.19 diff gear ratio and the DCT helps tremendously to offset that difference.

8500rpm, 670hp, imagine that mated to a 10L90

The 8 speed DCT trans is far superior than even the great 10 speed in the Camaro.

And the day was topped of with a very rare TV commercial during Game 1 of the World Series.

Not bad, not bad... but not my cup of tea either. I've been staring at and walking around a well equipped C8 the other day at the dealership for quite a while, and it just doesn't evoke any emotion. Now the Z06's exterior design changes render the Stingray slightly dated already.

Also, that FPC engine sounds almost exactly like any Italian supercar, it's just difficult to get excited about this "see? we can do it too" design.

Reasonably speaking, this is a very respectable achievement, it's just that so far I've found little to excite me about it. Maybe if I drove one

Hmmm, incredible engine, but very similar to Ferrari 458.

Agreed. I did a double take when I saw it as it looks exactly like most of the Ferrari V8’s of the past 20 years.

You’re not the only one. While I think the c8 z does sound good, I still prefer the cross plane v8 sound. I also like my torque right away instead of later in the power band. For a track car, yes I want it later in the power band. For fun on the street I prefer the LT1/2
